Community Outreach

Arteast Ottawa is a not-for-profit art organization that promotes bringing visual art into our community.  Arteast’s Community Outreach program hosts many art related projects each year.

Our Goal

Our goal is to reach those who might otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in the visual arts.  We have been actively involved in the community outreach programs since 1996.

Community Projects

Outreach operates on a project by project basis.  We work collaboratively with community organizations such as the Tulip Festival, Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (Acquired Brain Injury Day Program and Variety East), Garry J. Armstrong Home as well as projects that help individual well-being.

Arteast has provided adults and children in the community a variety of specialized workshops suited to their learning abilities, emotional and intellectual challenges.  Through partnering with Arteast members, we are always looking to use art as a tool for the promotion of well-being.  Some of the workshops include watercolour painting, still life painting, painting 5 foot tulips, and colour mixing classes.
