Please note that this Open Studio session is an in-person event taking place at the St-Laurent Complex Visual Arts Studio from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Attendance is open to members of Arteast Ottawa in good standing only. No registration is required.

Open Studio is a great opportunity to work on your art projects and get together with fellow Arteast members in a shared studio space.  This is not an art class.

Please note that Open Studio is held in an enclosed space. Some materials available to oil painters can be toxic and emit fumes and some members may be very sensitive and/or allergic to strong smells. The following practices should be observed:

• Solvents should not be used.
• Liquin is highly toxic and not allowed.
• No volatile solvents, such as turpentine or other mineral spirits. Only natural oils, no scents, should be used, e.g. linseed, walnut, safflower oils, without alkyd drying agent
• Participants should clean their brushes at home.

Masking is strongly recommended. Easels, tables and chairs will be provided but bring your own art supplies and tools.
